Terms of service
1 · The service
Walkabout provides software that authors, replays, verifies, and renders step-by-step guides for your applications, plus optional hosting of rendered guides at walkabout.run. The runner software executes on your own hardware; you are responsible for having the right to automate the applications you point it at.
2 · Your account
You need an account to use the control plane. Keep your credentials, API tokens, and runner pairing tokens confidential. You’re responsible for activity under your account, and for ensuring your team members respect these terms.
3 · Your content
Flows, runs, screenshots, and rendered guides are yours. We claim no ownership. You grant us the limited licence needed to store, process, and — if you enable hosting — serve them. Delete your account and hosted copies are removed within 30 days.
4 · Acceptable use
Automate applications you own or are authorised to document. Don’t use Walkabout to circumvent third-party terms of service, scrape services that prohibit it, or automate login pages of identity providers — the product refuses this by design, and so do these terms.
5 · Availability & changes
We aim for boring reliability but the service is provided “as is”. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice; because guides are materials in your own repo, a discontinued feature never takes your content with it.
6 · Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including a stale guide that slipped through.
